Stefan Tarnowski is a writer, researcher, and translator. He is pursuing his PhD at Columbia University in the Anthropology Department and the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society. His research focuses on Syria since the 2011 revolution and, particularly, on video and film production. He has a degree in Middle East Studies from Oxford University, and previously worked at the Beirut Art Center.
